GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this handsome 1936 Dodge pickup for your consideration

The truck remains largely stock condition and it is powered by its inline 6 cylinder paired with its 3 speed manual transmission. The owner reports that the engine was rebuilt 700 miles ago and the brakes are redone as well. The truck appears to be very solid and it shows well. It rides on factory wheels that are painted to match the color of the body. The truck’s roll out โ€“ vent windshield works as it should. Other highlights include side mounted spare tire, nice chrome and nice wood inserts in the bed.

As a business, Dodge started out as a parts supplier to Ford and other automobile manufacturers. Soon the pistol-packing John and Horace Dodge leveraged their reputation of supplying high-quality, reliable products into a full manufacturing concern, producing their first automobile in 1914. In 1929, a year after being bought by Chrysler, Dodge introduced its first half-ton pickup truck. In 1936, the half-ton pickups got a true truck-type chassis with welded cross-members instead of the old chassis used for cars.
