1946 Chevrolet Pickup vintage [many new parts]

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1946 Chevrolet Pickup Truck!

Cars are no doubt an important part of history. Luckily, much of the history is in tact with this old truck. The original owner drove and maintained the vehicle from new until 1992! After a long life serving its owner the truck was allowed a rest until 2016.

After sitting for awhile many parts had gone bad, and many others were replaced. In short the truck was given a full tune-up and brought back to running order. Although on the surface it may not have the shine and luster of a fresh restoration, lurking beneath the patina is a time capsule of Americana history. While trucks like this may not be the ideal for a cross country adventure, they are great vehicles for light-duty use, or hometown cruising! A 12-volt electrical conversion was made to help modernize the truck a bit, and new brakes installed for some added confidence. The body certainly shows flaws and that is intentional because the paint and body is largely original.
