The 283ci small-block was professionally rebuilt in 2016 and there are receipts for most work done. The rebuild included: machine work, trueing rods, all new bearings, Hastings rings and new harmonic balancer. The GM ‘Power Pack’ heads were reconditioned with a machine grind, new valves, springs, guides and seals. An EngineTek Performance cam/lifters was installed – a good fit with the Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 650cfm carb and GM ‘rams horn’ exhaust manifolds. The motor is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission with column shift. Hydraulic clutch linkage components including the slave cylinder and lines have been refreshed.
