The engine bay got the same attention during the restoration as the rest of the truck, so it’s clean and detail-oriented. All Model As, even the trucks, got the same torquey 201 cubic inch four-cylinder engine. Which means maintenance and components are easier than you would think on a 90+ year-old pickup. It fires up nicely like with that great robust Ford feeling, and it has the exhaust note to match. The three-speed manual transmission is light and easy to master, and the four-wheel mechanical brakes are surprisingly effective given the Model A’s light weight.
