The small block wasn’t up to the legendary 350 displacement in 1960, but it fits in just as easily as the 283 did. In fact, this larger motor is also a new V8 with less than 1,800 miles on it. It has been enhanced even further with upgrades such as a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. This all means you get a motor that fires up reliably and gives an extra rumble out of the dual exhaust. And the extra power is also a nice feature to have on this El Camino because it wants to fully live up to its pickup potential.
